Frequently Asked Questions

Booking & payment

What is the minimum stay?

Three months. We offer monthly and yearly stays only — no nightly or weekly bookings.

Is this a villa?

No. We are a homestay: private units with their own bathroom in a shared, family-style compound with a shared mini pool. That is why our prices are much lower than renting a villa.

How much does a cheap monthly homestay in Ubud cost here?

Nomad Studio: IDR 4,999,000 (3 months), IDR 4,499,000 (6 months) or IDR 3,999,000 (12 months) per month. Family Suite: IDR 7,999,000, IDR 7,499,000 or IDR 6,999,000 per month.

How do I book?

Message our CS Admin on WhatsApp (+62 882-9565-3896), join a video tour, then pay a IDR 1,000,000 booking fee to secure your dates.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Wise, Visa and Mastercard via Stripe, PayPal, and BCA bank transfer. Payment details are only sent by our CS Admin or from info@homestaybali.com.

Is there a deposit?

Yes: IDR 2,000,000 for the Nomad Studio or IDR 3,500,000 for the Family Suite, refunded within seven days of check-out after inspection.

What if I cancel?

The booking fee is non-refundable. Full details are in our Terms and Conditions.

Visas & practicalities

Can you help with my visa?

We are not a visa agent. Please check current rules on the official Indonesian immigration website or with a licensed agent. Guests are responsible for a valid visa for their whole stay.

Do you register foreign guests?

Yes, as required in Indonesia. We will ask for a copy of your passport and visa at check-in.

Do I need to pay the Bali tourist levy?

Foreign visitors currently pay the Bali tourist levy themselves. It is not included in the rent.
